For those clients with limited time available, this combination of our 3 days Sossusvlei Express & 3 Day Etosha Express is the perfect choice. Overnight in lodges located just outside both Namib Naukluft National Park and Etosha National Park and includes 1 night at Chameleon Guesthouse in between, you'll be able to experience the amazing sand dune sea of the Namib and Sossusvlei region as well as Etosha National Park, renowned as one of the best game reserves in Africa. The cherry on the cake for this trip is an overnight visit to Amani Lodge where you will have the opportunity to view large cats at close quarters, and to be able to contribute to the conservation of these wonderful animals.
DAY 1 AMANI LODGE
You are collected from the airport and transferred to Amani Lodge where you will overnight in beautiful thatch bungalows with en-suite facilities. This afternoon you will join the feeding tour of the large predators that are unable to be re-located back into the wild, learn more about these fascinating animals and photographic opportunities are excellent. You can then enjoy a champagne sundowner before returning to the lodge for dinner. Your stay here supports the project and helps with the costs of keeping these majestic animals alive. (D)
DAY 2 LODGE, OUTSIDE ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast you are transferred to Windhoek where we depart at 12h00 in winter (13h00 in summer) for the mighty Etosha National Park. We arrive at our lodge outside the National Park just before sunset. (BD)
DAY 3 LODGE, OUTSIDE ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK
We depart from our lodge at sunrise to be in the park and game drive ‘til mid morning when we will stop for a light breakfast. We visit many waterholes and drive half way across the park in our quest to find the big 4 as well as all the plains game arriving at Halali for a rest during the hottest part of the day. Here we enjoy lunch and you can have a dip in the pool or relax by the camp waterhole. Continuing after lunch we will visit the mighty Etosha Pan a 4500 sq km saltpan. We will then game drive back to our lodge exiting the park just before sunset. (BLD)
DAY 4 CHAMELEON GUESTHOUSE
Early morning game drive inside the park looking for predators, plains game, and the many bird species found inside this incredible world-renowned park. We will game drive to the park gate and will return to Windhoek with a light lunch served en-route. Arrive in Windhoek late afternoon where you will be dropped at Chameleon Guesthouse. (BL)
DAY 5 LODGE, NEAR SESRIEM
Leisurely morning where you can relax before departure from Windhoek at 12h00 noon (13h00 in Summer). We arrive at our camp late afternoon and have a chance to relax and enjoy the views before taking a short walk for sunset looking over the Naukluft mountain range. (BD)
DAY 6 LODGE, NEAR SESRIEM
Dawn departure from camp/lodge to arrive at the park gate for sunrise. We drive down an ancient river bed to the 2x4 parking and take a 4x4 shuttle into the Sossusvlei. We explore this unique area on foot before heading into Dead Vlei with its large expanse of bleached cracked clay and skeletal camel thorn trees, contrasting with a backdrop of huge dunes with their ever-changing colours. As we drive back to our accommodation we will stop at the famous Dune 45 and climb this dune or just take photos. We return to Sesriem and visit the nearby Sesriem Canyon, one of the few permanent water sources before arriving back at our lodge late afternoon to watch the sunset over this spectacular desert. DAY 7 WINDHOEK
After a leisurely breakfast we return to Windhoek. We arrive prior to lunchtime where you will be dropped at your accommodation of choice or transferred directly to the International Airport for your onward flight. (B)
